そして最近食べ物ネタばっかりなので、たまには仕事も載せようかと…。なにせ極秘情報が多い環境で仕事してるので簡単に仕事ネタをアップ出来ないのですよねーん。でもこれは前に作ったフェザーロゴ。アダムのロゴ様に作ったけどボツった。羽を一個一個付け足していく作業は大変だったけど快感に近かったです。でもお気に入りのデザインや手をかけた物ほどボツるってのがデザイナーのジンクスですが、何時間もかけて作った我が子はかわいい物です！いつか日の目を見ます様に…と願ってしまう。（笑）下は2nd アルバムをレコーディング中のバンド The White Tie Affairの新しいロゴ。前のロゴからガラッと変えてみました。

I feel like this blog is turning into a food blog so here is some of my work! Yes, I am working. :) I am working in a super high security environment so can't really post anything that are still secret for the company. I made this logo for Adam Lambert but it wasn't used so it'll just stay in my portfolio...  I really enjoyed adding a little feather on the each typeface and felt like I was addicted to add the feathers... The 2nd image is a new logo for The White Tie Affair. The 2nd album is coming soon!

３連休から仕事や個人的な事が動きまくっていてバタバタしていました、が復活！この前行った、イタリアンレストランBabbo。ここは有名シェフのマリオバターリさんのレストランで予約がとれない事で有名。１ヶ月前から予約を受け付けるので、今回は私が昔からお世話になっている方が日本から来られたのでキッチリ３０日前に電話予約！にも関わらず、唯一とれたのが午後６時。（早！）予約以外にもwalk in客も受け付けてるみたいだけど、小さなバーで気長に待つハメになりそう。

マリオさんのもう一つのイタリアン、Del Postoもそうだけど、マリオさんのイタリアンはちょっと全体的にチョットしょっぱめ。美味しいんだけどねー。ぐびぐびと思わずワインがすすんでしまいます。今回は５人だったので沢山頼んでシェア。一番美味しかったのはイカスミパスタとアスパラのラビオリかな。念願のBabbo、遂に制覇して満足でした♪

I went to Mario Batali's restaurant Babbo in Washington square park for dinner. It's known for "hard to make a reservation" place. They take reservation from 30 days before so I called them right on time but it was already full and we could only get a 6pm table. We were 5 of us so ordered a lot of food and shared with amazing selects of wine. I've been to another Mario's restaurant Del Posto a few times but I liked Babbo's atmosphere and food much better!

NYはまた急に熱くなり、今日は30℃近くもありまーす。昨日も暑かったけど、夜は涼しく夕涼みにはもってこい！な感じだったので、ボヘミアンのシェフ篠木さんのブルックリンの家まで足を伸ばしてバーベキューに行って来ました。マンハッタン組の私とおチズさんはイーストビレッジからキャブで向かい、普段見ない変わる景色にまるで観光客気分。ユダヤ人街はまるでシンドラーのリスト。

篠木さん宅は素敵なバックヤードがあって、そこにはお肉の山がどどーん！と既に準備されていました。仕事が忙しくて一日何も口にしていなかった私は生肉にもかぶりつきたい気分でしたー、けど待ちましたよ。シェフの作るBBQはひと味違う！しかも手作りサングリアまで振る舞われ、ちょっとブルックリンまでプチバケーションに来た気分。もちろん日本酒も頂きましたよ。生酒の『梵』！トロトロしてて激うまでです。

この日のメニューは、ブロッコリーと味噌マヨネーズ、アンチョビポテト、ビーフステーキ、ポークステーキ、ソーセージでホットドッグ、ジャークチキン、ジューシービーフバーガー、しゃきしゃきレタス。肉、肉、肉で私の満腹中枢さんは幸せそうでした。暗闇で黙々と肉を焼くシェフ、素敵です！

It's becoming really hot in NY again! Last night was a perfect night to hang out outside. I went to Bohemian's chef Shinoki's house in Brooklyn for BBQ! Tons of meat was prepared in his backyard and fresh made sangria was waiting for me... While we were waiting for the meat, there were really tasty broccoli with miso mayonnaise and anchovy potato...mmm I can eat that again now! All the stake was cooked more than perfect. I've been to lots of BBQ but sometimes it gets too busy with too many people so you cant really eat but last night was perfect because it was only 7 of us!

週末はドアを開けたら鉄人28号のいるアパートでのお好み焼きパーティに行って来ました！ADC NYで入賞された電通のコピーライター倉成さんや、702デザインの大杉さんなどを囲んで山芋たっぷり激ウマお好み焼きを頂きました。本当世界で活躍する日本人の多さに感動します。

アパートのオーナーのMatthew WaldmanはNookaというブランドラインを持つ日本をこよなく愛するアーティストです。大人気の腕時計シリーズやベルト、ラップトップスキンなど欲しい物ばかり…！Matthewは東京•南青山にもオフィスがあり、日本に行く度におもちゃコレクションが増えているそう。鉄人28号はその一つで日本から持ってきたそうです。でかー！

I had a great night at Okonomi-Yaki (Japanese pancake) Party with lots of Japanese artists at Nooka's Matthew Waldman's place! There is a huge Tetsujin 28go right front of the entrance and were so many cute Japanese toys and arts. Matthew makes really cool watches and the collection of Nooka is all so cool kawaii!  You can buy Nooka at Nooka.com and some of the collection at MOMA Store. I think I wanna buy the laptop skin. :) It's perfect for a gift too!

Kitano Hotel BBQ Kick Off Party

NYにはキタノホテルという老舗の日本のホテルがミッドタウンにあります。そこにはかの有名な懐石料理「白梅」も入っていて、バーでは生のジャズバンドも楽しめたり以外な穴場。写真は先日参加させて頂いた、「BBQキックオフパーティ」でのご馳走！ペントハウスのイベント会場はマンハッタンを３６０度見渡せるテラスと１００人程収容出来き、結婚式やセミナーなどに大人気だそうです。この日は残念ながら雨でインドアパーティになってしまいましたが、グリルされたチキンや海老さんが美味しかった〜。お天気のいい日に是非しきり直して遊びに行きたいっす。

I was invited to The Summer BBQ Kick-Off party at the Kitano New York’s Penthouse. The Hotel is located on Park Avenue at 38th street in Murray Hill. It was windy and rainy to hand out on the rooftop terrace in the evening, but the view from the rooftop terrace is spectacular with Empire State Building and Chrysler Building being so close. The Penthouse space, with a capacity of up to 60 people, is available for any social events, meetings, seminars, wedding receptions and private parties.
